Regioselective Cleavage of Epoxides: Conversion of Racemic Epoxides to Optically Active Alcohols. -The regioselective reduction of racemic epoxides to optically active alcohols using a zirconium tetrachloride-sodium borohydride reagent in the presence of L-proline as chiral auxiliary is reported.
