Reductive Reactions of Nitroarenes in the Presence of Allyl Bromide and Zinc Dust.

-A mild and novel reaction route for 2,1-benzisoxazoles is found using allyl bromide and zinc dust for the reductive cyclization of o-nitrobenzaldehydes, N-(2-nitrobenzylidene)anilines, and 2'-nitroacetophenone.
