✦ Synopsis

Readily Available Nitrene Precursors Increase the Scope of Evans' Asymmetric Aziridination of Olefins. -The nature of the nitrene precursor (II) has a strong influence on the yield as well as on the enantioselectivity of the asymmetric aziridination of various olefins like (I), (IV), and (VI), in the presence of the Tf-OCu/bisoxazoline catalyst systems. In all cases studied, the results with either of the nitrene precursors (IIb) or (IIc) are superior to those obtained with the commonly used p-tolyl analogue (IIa). -(SOEDERGREN, M.
