Reactions of Potassium N-(Vinyloxyethyl)dithiocarbamate with Polyfluoroaromatic Compounds.

-Reaction of the title dithiocarbamate (I) with polyfluoroaromatics [cf. compound (II)] provides the corresponding aromatic esters of N-(vinyloxyethyl)dithiocarbamic acid which decompose immediately to the isothiocyanate (III) and its hydrolysate, 1,3oxazolidin-2-thione (IV). The instability of the initially formed dithiocarbamic acid esters is proposed to be a result of the strong electron-accepting inductive effect of the polyfluoroaromatic ring. -(AMOSOVA, S.
