โฆ Synopsis
Reaction of 1-Bromo-1-nitro-2-(p-chlorophenyl)ethene with CH-Acids.
-The title bromonitrostyrene (III), prepared starting from 2-nitrostyrene (I), is characterized using IR, UV and NMR techniques and shown to exist in (Z)-configuration. Its base-catalyzed reaction with various CH-acids is shown to depend on the acidity and enolization of the CH-acid. Products of simple nucleophilic additions [cf. (VI), (XI)], nitrocyclopropanes [cf. (IX)], nitrodihydrofurans [cf. (XIIIa), (XIIIb)] and nitrotetrahydrocoumarins [cf. (XIIIc), (XIIId)] are obtained. -(TRUKHIN, E. V.; MAKARENKO, S.
