Pyrylocyanines. Part 37. Pyrylo-2-cyanines Containing Perfluorophenyl Substituents.

-The synthesis of several symmetric and asymmetric pyrylo-2-cyanines containing a 6-perfluorophenyl-4-phenylpyrylium unit is presented.

The influence of the perfluorophenyl group on the spectral properties is studied and compared to the previously described 4,6diphenylpyrylium analogues.
