Abstract

Multicomponent reaction of o‐formylbenzoic acid derivative (I) with secondary amines (III) and isocyanides (II) proceeds smoothly in the presence of silica nanoparticles under neat conditions to give dihydroisoindolone derivatives (IV) in good yields.
