โฆ Synopsis
Preparation of Perovskite-Type La1-xSrxMnO3 Films by Vapor-Phase Processes and Their Electrochemical Properties.
-Dense title thin film electrodes are prepared by sequential deposition of a transparent thin film of yttria-stabilized zirconia (YSZ) electrolyte onto a porous La0.85Sr0.15MnO3 substrate by CVD-EVD using ZrCl4 and YCl3 as metal sources, and of La1-xSrxMnO3 by EVD from LaCl3, MnCl2, and SrCl2 with humidified O2 gas as oxygen source. The resulting film is free from pinholes and exhibits an electrochemical conductivity comparable to that of sintered La1-xSrxMnO3. The electrode interface resistance of the film increases with the film thickness and the inverse of the interface resistance increases with the surface area of the thin film. The results indicate that oxygen is reduced at the surface and oxide ions diffuse through the thin film to the electrolyte. -
