Preparation and Structures of Salts with the Anions of -Single crystal structures are presented for the title anions precipitated as 1,1,3,3,5,5-hexamethylpiperidinium (pip+) salts. Precise structural data for these ions are obtained for the first time and confirm the expected geometries. The pip+ cation has the advantage of yielding good crystallinity, avoiding crystal twinning, and resulting in weak cation-anion interactions. pip+ IF-2 crystallizes in the monoclinic space group P21/c with Z = 4; pip+ClF-4 is tetragonal, I41cd, Z = 16; (pip+)2IF-4H2F-3 is monoclinic, P21/n, Z = 4; pip+AsF-4 is also monoclinic, P21/c, Z = 4; and pip+TeF-7 belongs to the triclinic space group P1 with Z = 2. -(ZHANG,
