โฆ Synopsis
Preparation and Characterization of Nanocrystalline Composite ( Nanocomposite) Films of Titanium Dioxide and Nickel by Occlusion Electrodeposition. -The optimization of variables such as TiO2 dose, electrosynthesis potential, bath pH and temperature, and film thickness related to the occlusion deposition of Ni/TiO2 nanocomposite semiconductor films are studied in relation to the photoactivity of the nanocomposite films under chopped light illumination with a xenon arc lamp in 0.1 M KNO3 electrolyte. Ni/TiO2 films deposited at -0.8 V and 20 โข C and a film deposition charge of 36 mC from a Ni bath of pH 5.0 containing 0. 8 M TiO2 exhibit the best photoresponse. Comparisons with the photoelectrochemical behavior of TiO2 layers resulting from thermal oxidation of Ti sheets or from oxidative decomposition of aqueous TiCl4 are discussed. -(ZHOU, M.; DE TACCONI,
