Porphyrin Architectures Constructed by CH•••π Interactions: Synthesis and Crystal Structures of 5,10,15,20-Tetrakis(4methylchalcogenophenyl)-21H,23H-porphyrins.

-The synthesis of tetraphenylporphyrins substituted with methylchalcogeno groups is described. Crystal structure analysis reveals a novel type of molecular alignments achieved by intermolecular CH-π interactions between -XMe and porphyrin π-system.
