Polyaniline-Supported Cobalt(II) Salen Catalyzed Synthesis of Pyrrolidine Containing α-Hydroxyamide Core Structures as Inhibitors for HIV Proteases.

-A general and efficient approach to potentially useful inhibitors of HIV protease is developed. The polymer-supported catalyst PASC catalyzes the epoxidation of the starting olefins (conditions A) and promotes in the following step the opening of the epoxide ring with primary and secondary anilines.
