Phototoxic Polyacetylenes from Viguiera annua and Adaptations of a Chrysomelid Beetle, Zygogramma continua, Feeding on This Plant. -Phototoxic polyacetylenes (I) and (II) are isolated from the leaves of title plant. Plant-insect relationship investigation shows that the beetle larvae are able to feed and develop normally on their phototoxic host-plant, probably due to light-avoidance behavior and induced activity of antioxidant enzymes. -(GUILLET, G.
