Phenacenes: A Family of Graphite Ribbons. Part 1. Syntheses of Some (7) Phenacenes by Stilbene-Like Photocyclizations. -By employing stilbene-like photocyclizations, the synthesis of the up to now largest known phenacenes (VII) and (XI) containing seven rings is described. The parent system (VII) i
