β¦ Synopsis
Phase Equilibria and Superconducting Properties of BiSr 2 YCu 2 O 7 (1212 Phase).
-The experiments performed give evidence that the 1212 phase is nonsuperconducting. Superconductivity at a critical temp. of β90 K is only observed in multiphase samples that contain the 2212 phase in addition to the 1212 phase. The 1212 phase is, additionally to the 2212 phase, in thermodynamic equilibrium with a liquid, (Sr,Y) 14 Cu 24 O 41-x , Sr 4 Y 3 Bi 3 Oy, and SrCuOy. Other phases in equilibrium are Sr 2 YOy and Y 2 O 3 . -(KAESCHE,
