Palladium Mediated Regio-and Stereoselective Synthesis of Exomethylene Benzo-and Naphthodioxans.

-Pd-catalyzed cyclization of monopropargyl derivatives of catechol (cf. (I)) and 2,3-dihydroxynaphthalene (cf. (IV)) provides the exomethylene-benzo-or naphthodioxans (II) and (V), resp. with excellent regio-and stereoselectivity.
