Palladium-Catalyzed Cyclization of 2-Heteroyl-1-methylene-1,2,3,4tetrahydroisoquinolines. Studies on 6-endo-versus 5-exo-trig Cyclization.

-In continuation of an earlier investigation the regioselectivity of the title cyclization is studied. If the corresponding bromide instead of the iodide (IV) is used the yields under the same conditions are 68% (99:1) and 80% (30:70), respectively.
