Alkyl Ξ²-Oxoalkanesulfonates. Part 1. Synthesis and Structure. -Based on UV and NMR spectra it is found that title compounds such as ( III) exist exclusively in their keto-form. In the presence of bases they undergo enolization, but in the course of time decomposition is observed. -(EFIMOVA, T.
