## Abstract A one‐pot synthesis of 2‐(4‐oxo‐1,3‐thiazinan‐5‐yl)acetic acids is described __via__ a three‐component reaction between primary alkylamines and ithaconic anhydride and phenyl isothiocyanate or benzoyl isothiocyanate.
