Novel Palladium-Catalyzed Formal [3 + 2] Cycloaddition via Hydrocarbonation Reactions of Allenes.
-The palladium-catalyzed reaction of activated olefins (I), (IV), (VI), and (VIII) with allenes (II) and (Xa), bearing an activated methine at the carbon chain terminus, gives cyclopentanes with good to excellent yields. The present cycloaddition reaction provides an entirely new procedure for constructing cyclopentanoids under neutral conditions. -
