✦ Synopsis
Novel Electrochemical Route for Reduction of Superconducting Bi2Sr2CaCu2O8+δ.
-The critical temperature, Tc of over-hole-doped Bi2Sr2CaCu2O8+δ ( Bi-2212) superconductors is increased to ≈90 K by electrochemical reduction using an electrolyte solution containing benzoic acid in acetone as proton donor. The reduced stability of the electrochemically reduced Bi-2212 as compared to partially oxygen-removed Bi-2212 at elevated temperature in N2 is attributed to dehydration-induced decomposition of the structure of protonated Bi-2212. -(MATSUDA, M.; TAMADA, H.;
