Novel Applications of Raney Nickel/Isopropanol: Efficient System for the Reduction of Organic Compounds. -The catalytic hydrogenation of various organic substrates with Raney-nickel in isopropanol succeeds under mild conditions of pressure and temperature. A comparison with other widely used hydrogenation catalysts shows the superiority of the Raney-Ni/iPrOH system.
