✦ Synopsis

Non-Steroidal Antiinflammatory Agents: Synthesis of Novel Benzopyrazolyl, Benzoxazolyl and Quinazolinyl Derivatives of 4(3H)-Quinazolinones.

-Starting from quinazolinones (III) quinazolinones of type (IV), (VI), (VII), and (IX) are prepared. The derivatives shown in the scheme are found to be the most potent antiinflammatory agents within the series. (IV) exhibits higher antiinflammatory activity than proquazone.
