✦ Synopsis
New π-Electron Donor Systems Based on Acenaphtho(1,2-b)(1,4) dithiine.
-Similar syntheses of (V), (VI), and (VII) are described. According to voltammetric studies, these compounds undergo reversible singleelectron oxidation. A novel preparation of (XI) is reported which is formed instead of the expected (XII). The unstable ring-opened acetylenes (IX) are obtained from (V).
