β¦ Synopsis
The title compounds are prepared by hydrothermal reaction of K2CO3 and LnF3 at 740 β’ C and 220 MPa. The isostructural compounds crystallize in the rhombohedral space group R32 with Z = 3. The structure consists of KLn2(CO3)3 carbonate and K3F4 fluoride sheets. K4Eu2(CO3)3F4 exhibits a frequency doubling efficiency similar to that of N.;
