✦ Synopsis
1999 structure structure (solids and liquids) D 2000 11 -016 Neutron Structure of Strontium Pentacyanonitrosylferrate(II) Tetrahydrate Below the 153 K Phase Transition.
-Single crystals of the title compound are grown by the hanging seed method, by spontaneous concentration of saturated aqueous solutions of Sr[Fe(CN) 5 NO] kept in a thermostat slightly above room temperature. Sr[Fe(CN) 5 NO]•4H 2 O crystallizes in the monoclinic space group P2/m (refinements in C2/m) and Z = 4 as determined by neutron diffraction at 130 K. When going from room temp. to 130 K the space group C2/m changes to P2/m and a rearrangement of hydrogen atoms occurs.
