✦ Synopsis

N-Alkyl-N-vinylbenzylnorephedrines and Their Copolymers as Chiral Ligands for the Highly Enantioselective Ethylation of N-Diphenylphosphinylimine. -Monomeric (as mixtures of m-and p-vinyl isomers) and polymeric norephedrines (I) and (III) as well as their N-methylated antipodes ( cf. (II)) are tested as chiral ligands in the title reaction and found to be highly enantioselective. The best results are shown in the scheme.
