Montmorillonite K-10 Catalyzed Knoevenagel Condensation under Microwave Irradiation in Solventless System.
-A general, efficient, fast and solvent free Knoevenagel condensation of carbonyl compounds such as (I) -except aliphatic aldehydes, which do not give good results -with malononitrile or ethyl cyanoacetate (which leads to slightly reduced yields) is described.
