โœฆ Synopsis

Mn(III) Containing Ferrites in the System Li 0.5 Fe 2.5-x MnxO 4 .

-The title system with cubic spinel structure is obtained by thermal decomposition of freeze-dried Li-Mn(II)-Fe(III)-formates at temperatures of 700 โ€ข C for samples with x = 0.5 and 1.0 and 900 โ€ข C for the sample with x = 1.5 (under air). These ferrites contain Mn(III) ions at octahedral sites of th spinel lattice. The Li ions occupy both the octahedral and tetrahedra cationic positions of the spinel lattice. The saturation magnetic moment of the samples increases and the Curie temp. decreases with increasing Mn content. -(BONSDORF, G.;
