β¦ Synopsis
Microwave Assisted, Highly Efficient Solid State N-and S-Alkylation.
-Secondary amines and thiophenols are alkylated with alkyl or benzyl halides on alumina-supported potassium carbonate under solvent-free conditions using microwaves. The method does not require a strong base nor a phase-transfer catalyst. Reaction times of 2-23 minutes are necessary. In the case of the monoalkylation of aniline four equivalents of anilines are used. -(JAISING-
