Magnetic and Neutron Diffraction Studies on Potassium Uranate KUO 3 . -The title compound is prepared according to a known method by heating a pellet of the mixtures of K 2 UO 4 and UO 2 in an evacuated quartz tube at 700 β€’ C for 10 h. The X-ray diffraction analysis shows that this compound is a cubic perovskite, space group Pm3m. It exhibits an antiferromagnetic-type of transition at ca. 17 K.
