β¦ Synopsis
Low-Temperature Synthesis of K 2 NbO 3 F Powders by an Alternative Approach of Solid-State Reaction. -Powders of the title compound are synthesized by solid state reaction of stoichiometric mixtures of NH4[NbO(C2O4)2(H2O)2]β’3H2O, K2C2O4, and KF (550-700 Β°C, 3 h). The samples are characterized by powder XRD, SEM, FTIR, and UV/VIS diffuse reflectance spectroscopy. The main advantage of ammonium niobium oxalate as a precursor lies in the possibility of preparing K 2 NbO 3 F powders at low temperature by a simple, rapid, and cost-effective method, without addition of any fuel.
