Lithium Tetrafluoroborate: A Mild and Efficient Reagent for the Cleavage of Dimethoxytrityl Ethers.
-LiBF 4 is a mild and highly efficient reagent for the cleavage of Dmt ethers (I). Functional groups such as silyl, isopropylidene, ester and epoxide as well as nucleotide bonds are not effected.
