Lewis Acid Catalyzed Synthesis of Aziridines. -A convenient synthesis of the title compounds becomes possible in the presence of Lewis acids. The enamines (VI) and (VII), formed as by-products, can be easily removed by SiO2 chromatography. AlCl3 or TiCl4 generally give similar results.
