Kinetics of Cyclopropylcarbinyl Radical Ring Openings Measured

Directly by Laser Flash Photolysis.

-The synthesis of a diastereomerically pure intermediate (VI) and several precursors (VII) to substituted cyclopropylcarbinyl radicals (VIII), detailed laser flash photolysis kinetic studies of cyclopropylcarbinyl radical ring openings, and analyses of the kinetics via computational studies of the parent radicals are reported.
