KGaAs2O7.

-Single crystals of the title compound are obtained from the reation of KH2AsO4, (NH4)H2AsO4, and Ga2O3 (Pt crucible, 1. 773 K, 6 h, 2. 973 K, 10 h). KGaAs2O7 crystallizes in the triclinic space group P1 with Z = 2. The compound is isostructural with KAlAs2O7. Corner-sharing GaO6 octahedra and As2O7 double tetrahedra form tunnels in which two crystallographically independent K+ ions are located. -(LIN, K.-
