โฆ Synopsis
Keggin-Type Heteropolyacids as Electrode Materials for Electrochemical Supercapacitors.
-An inexpensive electrochemical capacitor system with an asymmetric configuration including heteropolyacids and a proton-exchange polymer membrane is demonstrated. The model system is H 3 PMo 12 O 40 โขnH 2 O/Nafion 117/HxRuO 2 โขnH 2 O. It shows a very reversible specific capacitance of 112 F/g and an energy density of 36 J/g based on an operating voltage of 0.8 V. The proper choice of two different oxides for the cathode and the anode requires maintenance of the Fermi energy between the HOMO and the LUMO of the electrolyte. -(YAMADA, A.
