prepared by heating mixtures of the binary fluorides. Single-crystal XRD results show that the compounds with M2M': Cs2Na, Rb2Na, and Rb2Li are isostructural and crystallize in the triclinic space group P1 with Z = 2. Cs2LiMn3F12 (trigonal, R3, Z = 3) is a merohedral twin and Cs2KMn3F12 belongs to the monoclinic system (C2/c, Z = 4). All compounds consist of (Mn3F12) layers of corner-sharing (MnF6) octahedra of the Kagome-net type (3 + 6 octahedra units) which are elongated according to the Jahn-Teller effect.
