Isolation of Reduced Zirconium Chloride Clusters [(Zr 6 CCl 12 )Cl 6 ] 4- and [(Zr 6 BCl 12 )Cl 6 ] 5-from Acidic Aqueous Solution.

-The structures of the compounds (II) (cubic, space group Im3m, Z = 2) and (IV) (tetragonal, I4 1 cd, Z = 8) containing the cluster anions of title are determined by single crystal XRD. The structures are briefly described and the results of preliminary electrochemical and 11 B NMR measurements are reported. -
