✦ Synopsis

Investigation of the Al-Mg-Si System by Experiments and Thermodynamic Calculations.

-The enthalpies of formation and fusion as well as the heat capacity of Mg2Si are measured calorimetrically. The Al corner of the ternary system is investigated by DTA and micrography. On the basis of the calculated and measured values in comparison to literature data, a complete set of analytical descriptions of the Gibbs energies of all stable phases of the title system is given.
