Abstract

Polyaniline‐supported TosOH or FeCl~3~ appear to be useful, reusable catalysts for the Prins cyclization of homoallylic alcohols with aromatic aldehydes as well as the synthesis of dioxanes (VIII) via condensation of terminal olefins with paraformaldehyde.
