A new zinc vanadate Zn 2 (OH)VO 4 has been synthesized by an electrochemical-hydrothermal method and characterized by single crystal X-ray diffraction. The compound crystallizes in the orthorhombic system, space group Pnma, a = 14.645(1) A ร , b = 6.0215(5) A ร , c = 8.8757(8) A ร , V = 782.7(1) A ร
