Homogeneous Catalytic Dimerization of Terminal Alkynes by C5Me5Ru(L)H3 (L: PPh3, PCy3, PMe3) (I).
-Selective product formation of (III), (IV), and/or (V) in the title reaction is effected by modulating both catalyst environment and the alkyne substrate. Cumulene (VI), a rare form of dimer, is cleanly obtained from (IIe). A mechanistic interpretation is given based on the product distribution. -(YI, C.
