-The first heterogeneous asymmetric aminohydroxylation catalyzed by OsO 4 using polymer supported cinchona alkaloid is reported. However, the reactions only proceed with moderate enantioselectivities.

Preliminary studies using the chiral title catalyst reveal that the rates are comparable with those of the homogeneous asymmetric dihydroxylation of alkenes. However, the e.e. values are lower. -
