Hetarenes Containing Bridge Nitrogen Atom. Part 6. Ambidental Properties of Oxazolo[3,pyridinium Nucleus in Reactions with Nucleophiles: Prediction and Experiment.

-The possibility of the cleavage of the 5-ring and 6-ring in the reaction of oxazolopyridinium perchlorate (I) with nucleophiles is studied. While the oxazoline ring is cleaved under the action of NaSH, the pyridine fragment is opened with piperidine. Liquid ammonia enables both reaction pathways yielding an oxazoline-opened and rearranged product (V) and the pyridine-opened compound (VI). -
