-Mono-and diprotonations to form carboxonium monocations and carboxonium-annulenium dications of a set of DMDHP (Ia) derivatives are investigated by means of NMR spectroscopy with particular interest in the possibility of creating a diatropic→paratropic→diatropic manifold.
