โœฆ Synopsis

Generation and Trapping of N-Acyliminium Ions Derived from Isomuenchnone Cycloadducts. A Versatile Route to Functionalized Heterocycles.

-In the presence of Rh 2 (pfb) 4 diazo compounds of type (I) undergo intramolecular cyclization yielding products like (II) via a simple and direct cascade sequence, which is extremely tolerant of structural diversity. The cycloadducts react with Lewis acids to afford N-acyliminium ions which are able to undergo different cyclization pathways depending on the nature of the substituent attached to the amide nitrogen. -(BRODNEY, MICHAEL A.;
