✦ Synopsis

From Sugar Allyltins to Chiral Cyclopentadienes: Radical Cyclization of Highly Oxygenated Sugar-Derived Dienoaldehydes.

-The title transformation leading to interesting cyclopentane derivatives is investigated. It is noteworthy that the cyclization of compounds (I), (III), (V), and (VII), gives only one stereoisomer, whereas (IX) gives a mixture in which the cis-isomer is formed predominantly.
