Abstract

A range of aromatic (V) and aliphatic CF~3~‐containing derivatives, e.g. (XI), is prepared by conversion of the corresponding carboxylic acids into dithioesters and subsequent S→F exchange reaction with bromine trifluoride under mild conditions.
