Abstract

The Friedel—Crafts reaction of aziridines (V) with arenes (VI) proceeds regioselectively to afford amino esters (VII), whilst the reaction with 1,4‐dimethoxybenzene (VIII) leads to an inseparable mixture of regioisomers (IX) and (X).
